I am sure you have seen the ads on TV telling you that you can make $5,000 or more a week just by investing a few hours a week. Let me tell you right now, that is not true. Why would the owner of a product that is sold on TV, give you information that would show you how to earn over $5,000 a week, when they could easily hire people to use there system to earn the money for there company. They would only have to pay their employees around $200 to $300 a week.

You should not waste your time purchasing any products or courses that are sold on the TV. There are many programs online that you could study to learn everything you will need to know.

Setting Goals

The first step to getting started is to think about how much money you really want to earn and how much time are you able and willing to invest in your business.

Retail Products, Software Products and Services.

You need to decide if you are going to offer a service or sell a product. It takes a lot more time and effort to sell retail products. With products, you have to deal with suppliers, mailing cost and your profit would be generally lower. To offer a service, you would normally have to leave your house and invest more time in labor and travel.

Software Products

Selling software or electronic downloadable products online is one of the easiest ways to earn money from home.

1. You are not required to stock and inventory
2. Your clients instantly receive the product (software)
3. Your commission could be as high as 75%
4. You can earn money 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Your clients can order and download your software
24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

You could be earning money while you are at work, sleeping or on vacation.

Most online businesses do not require you to make any contact with your customers. The online companies are already set up to process your customers orders 24 hours a day. The way this works is that your client would immediately receive the product (software) by email once they have sent in their payment.

Next your client would need to click on the link in the email letter. The software would automatically download to your client's computer. The full order process is complete.

You have just earned your commission. Most online companies offer their agents a login system so they could check on there commissions 24 hours a day.

There are many different products you can market online. You will have to invest some time online reviewing the different work at home programs.

There are a few points you need to check on before joining any program.

What is there commission rate (50% or higher is good)?

How often do they pay commissions? Once or twice a month is ok. Every 2 months is too long to wait for your money.

How long have they been in business? I generally do not join companies that have been in business for less than one year. If they are new, you could have a problem getting your commission.

These are just a few tips to help you get started. You must invest a few hours a week studying any information you can find on using your computer to work from home.
