An Introductory Guide To Google AdSense

By: Bill Protresi

If you're operating a website dedicated to a specific subject matter, you can earn an income from the said website by subscribing under Google AdSense.
Google AdSense is a pay per click (PPC) program. After creating an account, Google AdSense will assign to you a code which you are supposed to include on your website. This code will invite ads that will be flashed on your web pages. Every single time a visitor of yours clicks on an ad, you will be paid a stated amount. This is the reason why a pay per click is called, well, a "pay per click" program.
The income you'll earn per click may be very negligible, but if your web pages are visited by thousands of internet denizens per day, you can potentially earn a substantial income from this earning opportunity. Supposing an advertisement so displayed pays a measly cent per click, just to illustrate. However, if you can generate 2,000 visitors for your website per day, and only one-fourth of them get to click on the ads displayed on your website, you can earn $5 on a daily basis. And we're just talking about one website. What if you have 20 websites that can generate just as much visitors and just as much clicks? That's $100 a day in profit!
How sure are you that people\What guarantees do you have that visitors will click on the displayed ads? Truth to say, Google AdSense forwards contextually relevant ads to your website. Hence, when a web page tackles the topic of diabetes, the ads that will be displayed on the web page will be about diabetes care, diabetes avoidance, diabetes cure and the likes. Truly, these are ads that your visitors are sure to be interested with.
In this day and age, majority of internet users have websites of their own. These may be the conventional kind of websites, or perhaps online journals like blogs. They may have their own domain name and are professionally hosted, or they may be be availing of a free domain and are taking advantage of free web hosting. Regardless of these things, and so far as they are not serving a subject matter made illegal by AdSense's terms and conditions, they can implement the Google AdSense ad so that these websites can start becoming a viable online business opportunity.
