Don't overlook vending machine sales to children or you will miss a very important part of the market. They love to be able to buy items such as candy, gum, toys, and stickers from vending machines. They may save up their money to spend in them or they can ask their parents to provide it for them.

Parents won't always give in to such requests but they will certainly do so on a regular basis. It may just be a part of what takes place with them and the child at the end of the outing. It could also be a bribe in order to get the child to be very good while the parents shop first. Since these types of vending machines are very inexpensive they often don't mind handing over a couple of quarters.

They often love vending machines because of the added effects. Even though these types of vending machines cost more, they definitely draw a crowd. Even young children are able to remember what vending machine lit up when they put money into it. They will return to it in the future when they go to the same line up of vending machines.

One way to increase sales in such vending machines is to offer prize gumballs. It can be marked special and then when it is dispensed the recipient will redeem it for a prize. Of course this concept really only works if it is owned by the establishment so they can readily hand out the winnings.

Pay attention to what kids are interested in and you will do well. It can change rapidly but being on top of it will help your profits soar. For example they tend to follow the newest celebrities. Many of them love sports themes too. Little girls always enjoy the jewelry found in vending machines.

You can offer stickers in a vending machine for kids. They love them of cartoon characters, sports, and fun sayings on them. You can also offer small tea cups, lockets, and bouncy balls. All of these items will do very well in a vending machine. They also don't go bad so you can fill up the machines and wait until they deplete your supply.

It also means you can take advantage of sales on such items. All you will need to do is continue to rotate the stock of what is doing well in the various vending machines. You can easily store these types of items and not worry that they will go bad in the mean time until you are able to sale them.

Don't overlook vending machine sales to children though as you can really tune into their market. You do need to make sure you keep them happy though just like you won't any other consumer. Make sure the vending machines are easy to use and that they work well. Try to avoid those where the child has to insert two coins at once as it can be confusing to them.
