Working from home has never been more popular. The internet is awash with
adverts looking for home workers. The claim is that it couldn't be easier and
more profitable to work from home. The reality is however a rather different story.

Finding real work from home is surprisingly difficult. Many of these advertised
get-rich-quick schemes are scams and purely fictional. So how do you know which
are real and which are out to steal your hard earned cash?

There are several important points to consider before signing-up with a work from
home website. By considering the following points, you will save yourself time and
effort and avoid throwing money away.

Consider these points…

- Does the website claim that you will make a fortune quickly? – Working
from home is just like any other job. You must be prepared to put in some time and
effort in order to succeed and make a profit.

- What are you selling? - Make certain that you know exactly what products
the company you are working for will be selling. If you are not sure, then check with the
company. These goods or services should of course be legitimate and not of an
inappropriate or offensive manner. If the company are genuine then they will be more
then happy to answer any queries that you may have.

- Is there really work out there for you? – It is important to be sure that there
is actually going to be work for you to do from home. Ask the company if you can be put
in touch with other members who are working from home. This way you can get a good
idea if other home workers are satisfied with the company they are working for. Check
the website for company feedback and customer testimonials.

Are you replying to a junk e-mail? – Be careful when responding to work-from
-home e-mails that you may read in your Bulk/Junk e-mail box. Many of these e-mails may
be fraudulent. If you do decide to reply to one of these e-mails, make sure you thoroughly
check out the job website before signing-up with them.

- Is there a money back guarantee? Be aware if there is a money back guarantee
attached to the job site you are joining. Many of the work-from-home websites will charge
you a joining fee. This is pretty standard and for this fee you will get an information package,
online tutorials and often software and e-books. Make certain you can get your money back
if you are not entirely satisfied.

- Do you need to fulfil any legal requirements? In order to do some types of work
you may need a special licence. Also, certain types of work can’t be done at home by law. If
you are uncertain, then check this out before starting work.

- Are you offered an advance on your pay? Do not accept any offer which promises
an advance on your pay. The check you will be sent will more than likely be a very good fake
and will eventually bounce. In the meantime the employer may ask you to return a portion of
the money under the guise that you were paid too much. When the cheque eventually bounces
you are left out of pocket.

- Do you have enough information? Any lawful company will be happy to provide you
with information about their organisation and exactly what work you will be doing and for whom.

In spite of the many work-from-home scams on the internet today, real jobs do actually exist.
These are not get-rich-quick jobs and you will be required to put some time and energy into this
work in order to succeed. If you really want to work at home then the rewards of earning your
