Moreover, there are also various methods by which the exhaust can help provide additional performance to the vehicles and among them is through replacing the exhaust manifold with tuned header. Each moment when a power stoke happens, positive or negative pressure is created and so some headers are made in such a way that it could prevent interference between the exhaust pulses. If in case your manifold is not tuned after the demand of your header then the flow of exhaust is slowed creating a reduction in volumetric efficiency which only means a decrease in horsepower.

For cases when a vehicle makes use of V type configuration, experts agree that it would be better to employ dual exhaust system wherein there are two pipes that joins the manifold and header to the catalytic converter, muffler and resonators. This technique will produce better performance given that the exhaust air can get out of the vehicle competently consequently lowering back pressure. Another method is to use larger pipe diameter because the larger the outlet is, the more air will be able to get out of the vehicle.
Moreover, you can also remove the resonator for added performance.
