How The Internet Killed Mlm

By: Jimmy Torres

Would it not be better to just work for a couple of years to build a lifetime of passive profits, and then pass it down to the grandchildren? Well, the MLM (Multi Level Marketing) industry has been based on this which sounds promising, but does it deliver?

This concept worked in the past, but it no longer works today.

But how do I make such a bold statement? Because around every six to nine months, a big group of people from one specific company get traded to another. There was an era when these individuals were known as MLM junkies, but now, the people above them in their program are in the same situation.

Unfortunately, network marketing has become obsessed with timing, pre-launches, and the next big thing. So, what is causing this obsession?

It's just the game of numbers. The count of newcomers getting into network marketing compared to the count of new companies that are opening up, does not have a decent ratio. Any time that you want, you can start your own company. The issue is that you will be limited to the number of people that are going to join your business.

Now this is where you are introduced to the 'Pre Launch'. A company will utilize this pre launch as an opportunity to gain networkers for their company. This allows the new company to let its networkers promote the company while it's just getting off its feet, so that the majority of sales goes to those selected individuals that joined in the prelaunch.

Okay. So the networker is already advertising this new company and the company is now just fresh out of its pre launch. A new company start-up has just been announced and is promising the industry that their program will be the biggest thing to ever hit the market. Now there you have it, the cycle begins.

This cycle continues, and new companies will start up every six months or so and offer a pre launch. The promoters in the other companies rush to the top, and the programs they stray from simply fail. You can see how this obviously creates serious competition within the network marketing industry.

Just remember that when it comes to network marketing, the people that promote these companies is what keeps the company from failure, making you an important part of the system.
