How To Build An Opt-In List For Your Business

First before you begin you need to know that there are many
myths and falsehoods that need to be cleared before one decides
to create their first opt-in list. Many of the things that I
will list here are considered to be secrets of the trade. Learn
these secrets and your chances of profiting from your opt-in
list increase greatly.

To start lets talk about e-mail
marketing. There are not many people that use e-mail to market
their products or services. The thing that makes e-mail
marketing so effective is that almost everyone uses e-mail. When
a person leaves their information such as name, e-mail address,
and maybe phone number, at a website, somebody is capturing
their information about them.

You can use this information to
e-mail them about your product or service. The best form of
e-mail marketing is to use the opt-in method of capturing their
information when they land on your website.

You ask them for
their name, address, e-mail, and phone number. They fill out
your form on your website and hit enter. You can then send them
a message from your auto responder asking them to please confirm
their request for more information about your product or service
that they seen at your website. When they hit the send button
you now have their permission to send them more information
about your product or service and have now captured their
information.

You now have their permission to send them e-mail
updates, or anything else that you want to send them about your
website information in the future. Because they requested more
information in response to your capture page, they are now an
opt-in customer for you.

Now this name and information is
exclusive to you. Do not share it with anyone else because
people do not like it when you do that. They trusted you with
their information, not everyone else on the net.

Just keep
doing this method as described above and soon you will have a
list of opt-in customers that you can send information in the
future that pertains to your website where you offer your
product, or products, and services.

Also always remember to
have at the bottom of your e-mail message to them the
opportunity to cancel or opt-out of future e-mails from you if
they so desire. Some times people change their minds and no
longer wish to receive any further information form you. That is
their option of course.

Follow these rules and you will be off
to creating your own highly responsive opt-in list.
