How are articles circulated around the internet?

Article submission is an excellent way to improve your websites traffic. What happens is your article is submitted to directory sites and other web owner can post your article on their websites thereby increasing the amount of people seeing your article and visiting your website.
When you submit your articles to article locations, such as EzineArticles.com, they are circulated all over the internet. Now, there are two types of people that are reading these articles.
The first types are people that interested in it. Basically, they might be passionate about your topic or they want to know more about it, or some sometimes there are other reasons. These people are not going to be the ones that are going to be passing it around. Sure, they might pass it around to a few friends, but they’re more likely to be looking for information for themselves.
Then there is another type of person that’s kind of like a publisher. They might have a newsletter, they might have an e-zine or they might have an online magazine or an offline magazine. They may have a website that contains articles with various types of information on it that is related to the same field or in the same niche that you’re in. They may have a newsletter whose readers would find the information in your article very useful.
So, what they’re going to do is they’re going to take your information (they’re not allowed to change it) and they’re going to put it inside their newsletter, they’re going to put it inside their ezine or website, giving you credit and hopefully sending more traffic to your site.
Another thing that happens is, a lot of the time many article locations need more articles to generate more traffic, so they go to other article locations to find the articles to post on their site. In this case, what ends up happening to these articles is they take on this viral aspect all because one article location published it on their site. These article sites have editors that scan through thousands of documents, looking for informative articles to put on their own site. So basically, your article is going to get passed around again and again all over the net.
It is for these reasons that I always tell my students, keep writing articles. If you can’t write them yourself, then pay someone to do it but just start getting them out there and see what happens. The easiest way to get traffic to your site is to publish as many articles as you can to let people know you exist and what you do. If you don’t, people are probably going to have a very hard time finding you because your site may rank too low in the search engines.
Another very important thing for you to have is what we call a good bio or a resource page accompanying your article to drive people back to your website. If you’re not leveraging your traffic through article submission, you should start as soon as possible. It can bring you a ton of traffic!
