How to Beat Your Speeding Ticket in Virginia

The next step is to get a copy of your Virginia DMV record. You and your attorney need to know what previous charges are on your record. This is critical for negotiating with the judge. You can order a certified copy of your 11-year driving record from the DMV online for $13.

Third, your attorney might advise you to get your speedometer calibrated. If you are accused of speeding relatively close to the reckless driving line, a calibration could be the key to winning.
