How to Password Protect Your Website

As you already know, having a website is a ton of work. Think about all the long hours you put into researching information, writing, finding good freelancers to help you make your site what it is today. So the common thing to do is to password protect your site. Membership sites definitely need protection from hackers and prying eyes who have not paid the membership fee. It really is important to protect your website. But you’re not a computer programmer, so how would you do this?
It’s a fairly simple process. You really don’t have to buy any fancy software. All you need is some coding on your website and that should do the trick.
I was recently asked if I used a special password protected software to protect my own websites. Actually, there is no software or programming company that I’m using. It’s actually a piece of code that I found on the internet. I went to Hotscripts.com and I typed in “password protected sites.” It gave me code that I put on my page that allowed me to password protect the site. But it wasn’t as easy as that actually. The problem with it was, if you right-clicked on my website, you could get the username and password I used to protect the site. Now that’s not very secure now is it!
So then what I did was I went to Hotscripts.com again and typed in; “hide source code.” It actually gave me the code that would not allow people to view my websites source code. They wouldn’t be able to right-click and see it. How clever is that! Can you believe I didn’t need any fancy software to do that. It didn’t cost me a single penny - just a bit of time to find the website with the code. It was well worth the effort.
If you have a website, you definitely don’t want anybody to be able to access the private information you offer. I would highly recommend doing the same thing and password protecting your site just as I have. These two simple codes can actually protect my business. How cool is that! Somebody else wrote the code and I get to reap the rewards. I just copied and pasted it on my site by following the instructions at Hotscripts.com and voila! My website is protected. You should definitely take the time to check it out. Perhaps you too should consider protecting your business too.
