How to find a successful CeMAP Training company

If you need help with your CeMAP exams and would like to know which CeMAP training company of the myriad of them out there will help you pass the CeMAP exams first time then you must be prepared to conduct quite a fair amount of research!

There are tons of companies out there all promising you success in passing your CeMAP Exams but how many can truly deliver? A lot of CeMAP courses are revision based, this means that you’ll have somebody calling his or herself a tutor who just barks out the bare components of the course. You, in that situation, will struggle to take it all in – unless you’re gifted with a photographic memory! This is literally the equivalent of having a huge object dropped on your head from a great height. You certainly won’t remember much after that!

The only way to truly absorb the CeMAP Syllabus is to actually embark on a programme of engaging tutor–led study. You need classes that are interactive, where you can ask tutors questions and participate in discussions. You need a mature environment conducive to study where there are not too many distractions. You also need to be able to take mock examinations to assess your knowledge. You will form bonds with other people from various walks of life. You will be motivated to keep going even when the subject matter is boring as dry toast. However you look at it the experience will stay in your mind.

The Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) is a recognized qualification awarded by the Institute of Financial Services (IFS), through its parent body The Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIB). The CeMAP qualification has been developed with the co-operation of the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML).

The CeMAP qualification is made up of 3 modules:
module 1: UK Financial Regulation ( two units).
module 2: Mortgages ( four units).
module 3: Assessment of Mortgage Advice Knowledge. A
Note: All modules must be completed to achieve the qualification!!

With regards to the examinations, CeMAP 1 and CeMAP 2 are assessed in a two-hour exam consisting of 100 multiple choice questions. CeMAP 3 is assessed in a two hour exam, but is made up of 60 questions based on six case studies. Examinations can be taken in most towns and cities in the UK, (at driving theory test centres) and are computer based. You receive your results immediately.

Each exam has a minimum pass mark of 70% per unit. For instance, CeFA/ CeMAP 1 is made up of two units, and a score of 70% must be achieved in each unit to pass the module. A mark of 80% or higher receives a merit, and a mark of 90% or over receives a distinction. Should you fail a specific unit, you only have to resit the specific unit rather than the entire module.

You can now find companies that prove to provide high quality training. These include practice examinations, formal lectures, and case studies. By the time you finish the training with professionals, you will have undertaken a minimum of eight practice examinations with comprehensive feedback from their tutor. The quality of their training extends even to the point that if you fail in an examination after attending one of their courses, some will provide you with continuous training and support at no further cost.
