How to find best hotels for Luxury Winter Sun Holidays

As the winter sets in the days become shorter and weather starts becoming colder. It is that time of the year when many people like to spend their time a place which much warmer with lot of sun preferably on a sea shore with a nice beach to constitute a luxury winter sun holiday.
Even tourist destinations with all year round hot weather receive lower tourist traffic in winter months. Therefore, visiting such tourist destinations in winter would enable you to encounter less crowding on the beaches.
There are three locations that come to the mind. They are Cancun in Mexico, Malaga in Spain and Cyprus.
We will be talking mainly about Cyprus and Cyprus Holidays in this article.
Cyprus is third largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, which is placed very close to three continents of Europe, Asia and Africa. Before it became an independent country, it was being ruled by the British. Because of this historic link, it has become a very popular destination for holiday makers from Great Britain.
The biggest reason of popularity of Cyprus as a holiday destination is because of its weather and its beaches. It enjoys more than 300 days of glorious sun shine in a year. It has a very mild Mediterranean weather. Temperature in winter rarely goes below 18° C. The weather is the main factor making the tourists to come back to Cyprus year after year.
Cyprus is very popular with British travelers as a holiday destination, because they do feel they are still at home because people in Cyprus speak in English as it is their second language. All the road signs are in Greek and English and the vehicles drives to the left of the road as in UK. This is all because Cyprus was under British rule till 1960 when it became an independent nation.
One of the wonderful beaches in Cyprus is located in a place called Ayia Napa. There are several beaches around the place with beautiful turquoise water. One such beach is called Nissi Bay which is quite popular with young people. Another popular beach is called Macronissos beach.
There are many hotels to choose in this region, ranging from 2 star with basic amenities up to 5 star luxury resorts. One of the most exclusive is Aenas Hotel which is located next to Nissi Bay. In the center of the town is located Napa Plaza Hotel which is quite popular with younger people. Older people like to stay in Tasia Maris Beach Hotel.
There are many other places of tourist interest in Cyprus. Lots of information is available on the internet regarding hotels in these places. Some of the tourist organization in UK provides their assistance in booking hotels in Cyprus.
