The first one is the key system followed by the PBX (Private Branch Exchange) system, the third is the hybrid which is a cross between the PBX system and the key system and the fourth and the last is PABX that stands for Private Automatic Branch Exchange.

1 The size of the organization: The size of the telephone system is determined by the size of the system which dictates the number of lines and the extensions.
2 Modularity: It is better to buy a modular system that can adapt to the growth of the organization.
3 Price: The price of business telephones vary and are dependent on the size, technology, installation of the system and the accessories that are needed.
4 Products: There are mainly two type of products in the market. One is assembling and the other one is branded. People usually buy the branded just because the retailer is ready to take the responsibility if anything goes wrong. The assembled system can be bought only if the company that has assembled it is near the location of its installation.
5 Some of the features that have to be taken for consideration while buying the telephone system are as follows.
1. Call waiting: A signal to wait is provided by the system. This happens when the receiver is busy on another call and another call comes via another line.
2. Call forwarding: If the first extension is either busy or not answering the phone the system has an arrangement by which the call is forwarded to another extension.
3. Speaker phone: The facility of speakerphone is necessary when one needs to address more than one at the same time. One should check the quality of the sound.
4. Speed dial: With this facility the frequently called numbers can be stored and dialed by just pressing one or two keys/buttons.
5. Voicemail: Nowadays the facility of the voicemail has become a necessity.
Telephone Systems are usually bought from retail shops where the dealer tries to know the need of the of the business and then propose the model to be bought. One can buy it even through the internet. Last but not the least there are freelance marketing agents who can offer you personalized services but they work on commission and their charges may be higher than or even lower than the prevailing market rates.
