Internet Marketing Strategic - A Free Internet Marketing Membership Site

I have been marketing online for about four years. Truth be toldit's
been tough to get to where I am today, and if I knew then how tough it
would be, I really don't kowif I would have perseverred!

My busines partner Lee and I have been working together online now for
about 15 months and last week, for the first time, he admitted that it
was tough for him at first as well.
So, why is it so difficult to get a start in "Internet Marketing"?

If your inbox is olike mine you'll get the hundreds of daily emails
promising the "holy grail" of "instant online riches" and the "dream
lifestyle. I get promise dthe "earth" each and every day...not even any
rest on a Sunday!

So, if all of these benevolent Gurus are so keen to help us...why does
it then take so long to start making any money?

From my own perspective I have to say that my starting point was very
low indeed. I knew absolutely nothing! I didn't know how to build a
website, what PPC was, or even an autoresponder. So, I had to fumble
around and try to learn everything from the ground up.

It took me about a year to realise there are a lot of "smoke and
mirrors"!

Yes, for 12 months I was seduced by one ridiculous promise after
another. I'm not sure why it took me that long to relaise I'd been
duped! I spent a small fortune on products that were, quite frankly,
useless. I made no money, in fact I well out of pocket from buying a
heap of useless "how to" products.

O.K, perhaps that's a bit harsh, I did learn a few things, but...in
truth I was no further forward.

Occassionally, someone rides to the rescue! And, I have mentioned
Adwords Excellence before. Stewart McKay (where is he now) was my first
mentor and I learned so much from him and finally started to see some
successes here and there.

At last! But, what I had come to realise is that all of the products
the "Gurus" peddle are very specific. That's to say they address one
(normally minor) issue within the great IM scheme of things...and then
tell you this is the holy grail.

All this weight of proof is provided and, yes, you've guessed it, both
you and I get sold!

But...no-one tells you the basics!

If I wanted to be totally outrageous and highly controversial I could
suggest that the Gurus find a technqiue that works, flog it until it's
dead for them, and then...and only then bundle it up into a product for
"the masses". Cynical? Maybe not!

And most of the huge amount information circling around is useless and
recycled rubbish. yes it's wheeled out with some very sophisticated
marketing, and of course it's easy to buckle under the weight of
information and sales crap flying at you.

Still, no-one bothers to teach the basics! How to do buy a domain? Set
up your cpanel? Do BASIC market research? All key issues to the new
Internet Marketer.

Now a BIG Guru may counter that you should outsource all of that. Great
if you can afford it, but I know I couldn't when I first started.
Besides...I have a some sort of personality disorder that dictates that
I HAVE to understand everything...yes it held me back :>)

So, Lee and I were talking about this huge issue back in September
(2009) and we made a "quality" decision that someone needed to provide
that very basic "how to" Internet Marketing information.

Then we made the most crazy decision of our lives and decided that we
were going to do just that!

Then we surpassed ourselves and made the most crazy decision of our
lives for a second time...and decided that not only we were going to do
it...we were going to do it totally FREE of charge.

"But it will take a long time and a lot of work", I protested.

But Lee was having none of it, the bit was between his teeth.

He had decided "it was about time those "smoke and mirrors" were torn
down, the crap was "cut through" and the information made freely
available to all who wanted it".

So, we sat down, got some very strong coffee and talked about it. And
we reasoned why we should want to take on this mammoth task!

In the end it came down to two things.

Firstly, the online world has passed the recession by - the best
mananged online businesses have continued to make profits all the way
through. In fact, many have seen growth.
So, knowing how diffiuclt it was for us to get started, we felt it was
a something of a moral crusade to make the basic information freely
available to anyone who wanted to give it a "go" in Internet Marketing.

Secondly we figured that if we did this and did it well, we'd be making
a huge amount of training available free. Therefore we would build a
huge amount of trust with a huge amount of people...clearly this is
very good in a karma sort of way.

So, if we achieved that trust and helped loads of people, we knew good
things would flow back to us in the longer run. Maybe it's a leap of
faith, but I think not.

So, it took us just over four months to give birth to Internet
