Life is Good at Costa del Sol

By: globalbpo1

Costa del Sol (which translates to "Sun Coast" or "Coast of the Sun") is one of Spain's most beautiful places to visit. The city is overflowing with exotic atmosphere and sights not seen anywhere else. It is comprised of coastal towns, resorts, and romantic sceneries all bordering the exquisite Mediterranean coastline.

A luxurious early 16th century Palacio houses the city's newest main attraction, Museo Picasso. Fulfill your sensory pleasure with 204 original works of art including oil paintings, sculptures, drawings, sketchpads and ceramics, notwithstanding the area where the museum can be found, the Palacio de los Condes de Buenavista, which should be regarded as another exhibited work of art with its stunning architectures.

La Casa de Angel is a wonderful restaurant-gallery run and owned by the Spanish comedian Angel Caro. The menu consists of home cooked Spanish meals with hints of an Arabic heritage. While dining, you will also be enthralled at Casa Angel's extraordinary collection of paintings numbering over 100 works (some dating back to the 16th century). And they're not just some run of the mill paintings, these pieces are done by masters such as Picasso, Miro, and Dali.

A romantic city should be complete with an equally romantic nightlife. Lucky for visitors there is the Puerto Deportivo, the premier nightspot of Costa del Sol. Socialize with locals and other fellow travelers as you party the night away. Another attraction worth mentioning is the cable car, which carries you over to the hills where you enjoy a nice hike or photograph a fantastic view of the city.
Get a feel for the old Spanish country by taking a stroll at La Carihuela. Experience this historic neighborhood that used to be a fishing village. Stay at a resort and bask in one of its many beaches, or just walk along its streets to feel transported back in time. The locals are very friendly, so it's pretty easy to make a friend or two who will show you around. Carihuela is definitely a worthy place to visit.

See what a real Spanish bullring looks like at Plaza de Toros. A tour guide will show you where it is believed bullfighting originated from in 1785. You can walk around the amphitheater that makes up the ring. There is also a museum found in this magnificent complex, which holds sets of clothing from different matadors (bullfighters) from various eras. If you're lucky, you can even catch a real live bullfight, or if not, then seeing the place and appreciating its beauty is just as exciting.

If you're looking to relax and enjoy the temperate Spanish weather, then you should head on over and discover the La Concepcion Jardin Botanico. It is a simple yet lovely garden that stays relatively cooler than any place in the city, owing to the number of trees and flora which bring with them refreshing breezes. Visitors often mention a surprise around every corner as they are treated to an incredible variety of flowers. The only catch is that it's closed on Mondays, but you'll have the rest of the week to visit and enjoy the place.
