Microsoft Access 2000: Troubleshooting Invalid Page Faults

By: John Martin

Often when you try to open any saved ‘mdb’ files saved on your computer system or while you are working on a form which contains events or procedures you may face an invalid page fault and a message like:
“This application has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.”
And when you go for the details you encounter another message stating:
“Msaccess.exe caused an invalid page fault in module VBA232.DLL.”
There are certain reasons for the same like if there is any bug in VBA development environment or mismatched .dll files or damage or corruption of database or incorrect registry settings.
Microsoft Access is a powerful tool which is used by users frequently and if any mishappening happens to the saved mdb files then it becomes very important to some of users to recover it as it may possess very important data .There are many solutions for the problem which depends upon the cause and can be adopted to overcome the above stated problem like:

1. As the error is due to fault in VBA232.dll file then reinstalling the most recent update to this dll file may solve the problem
2. If the error is due to damage or corruption of file then we should immediately run the Compact and Repair utility to correct any potential problems caused by damage to the structure or data of the current database.
3. If the problem is due to mismatching of dll files then you can follow the following steps: Search for the file listed in window explorer and rename it to a unique name. Then uninstall the MS Access and then again reinstall it.
4. Incorrect registry settings could be another cause for the same which can be corrected by first accessing MS Access in control panel and then clicking on the add/remove button which will display the corresponding maintenance window where after clicking on the repair office you can go for the reinstallation of Microsoft Office.
If the problem still persists or you encounter some other problem of data corruption then there is none other alternative of adoptingaccess repair software. These software provide a complete solution of repairing and restoring back your access files and hence no data oss.
Stellar Phoenix Access Recovery Software is the most advanced software which does the same work in this era.
