So, what is a niche market? According to the dictionary, a niche market is defined as a distinct segment of the business marketplace. Another definition is: a niche market is composed of individuals and businesses that have similar interests and needs, which can be readily identified and that can be easily targeted and reached.

How do I find a niche market? Finding a niche market requires diligent research in the following areas:

1. Have a clear picture of who you're marketing to.
2. Have a product or service that provides answers or solutions to your target audience.
3. Find a market that has enough interest to support your product.
4. Provide a product you have passion about.

The key to staying happy and profitable is finding a niche product or service you are passionate about. You must enjoy what you are doing if you want a long-term business. Choosing a niche product you are knowledgeable about increases your enthusiasm and will send a message to your readers that you're talking directly to them and gives a message of trust. The more trust a customer has means more profit in your pocket.

Your affiliate marketing campaign needs to be highly focused when it comes to niche markets. Zero in on who you're marketing to and provide a product or service that provides answers and solutions to the needs of your target market. Satisfy the needs and interests of your target market and your target market will keep you happy, healthy and profitable.
