Event managers and promoters of different events can now post their listings on a dedicated website suswagat.com which also allows users to upload photographs/videos associated with events. Hari Venkata, a NRI, launched the free Web 2.0 events-based social networking portal here on Wednesday. Launches of brands, products, movies, political campaigns, food festivals, talent shows and pictures could be uploaded. Online advertisements and video market guides would fetch revenue to the site.

Apart from event listing, the portal allows users to upload photos and videos associated with various categories of events such as product and brand launches, movies, food festivals and talent shows. The company plans to shortly add access of this information for mobile phone uses. The portal revenue includes online advertisements, video market guides and content distribution both online and for mobile subscribers. The company has also added what it refers to iCast that enables ordinary user to capture important events and post them on the portal. The company has a content moderation feature that filters out objectionable content
