Not possible is it? Right now, you are probably saying, that is a ridiculous thing to ask someone to do, stand up and sit down at the same time. It’s impossible. It can’t be done. Why would anyone ask me to stand up and sit down at the same time?

You are right. It is ridiculous, but that is how most humans on this planet live their lives. They are attempting to stand up and sit down at the same time. We humans listen to our mind which says, we can want and have at the same time.

We spend our lives in wanting. We want things thinking we will have things. Of course wanting things, doesn’t make us happy. It makes us miserable and living in lacking the thing we want. It doesn’t make us happy because we cannot stand up and sit down at the same time. We can’t want and have at the same time. Therefore, we live in wanting and we live frustrated because we do not have.

We go on like that day after day, year after year, wanting and never having and being frustrated, sick, miserable, and lacking in the abundance we deserve. Our mind will tell us, if we don’t want, we will never have. We can check it out. Think of something you want. Do you have it? Of course you don’t. You want it. You do not have it. Think of something you have right now. Do you want it? Of course not. You do not want it. You have it.

Want and have are opposite energies. See if that is true. Think of something you want. Now think of something you have. Notice. Wanting and having are opposite energies. When we want we do not have. When we have we do not want.

Yet, our mind tells us we must want in order to have. We go on living our lives in wanting and not having. Some call it a secret, but it is no secret, what we hold in our mind, is what we get. Hold in mind means, the thought we have in our mind, the thought that occupies our mind. Think of something you want. You have wanted that for a long time, haven’t you? You have really wanted it. You are holding in mind wanting the thing. The thought you have in your mind all the time is, you want that thing. What we hold in mind is what we get. If we hold in mind wanting, if wanting is occupying our mind, that is what we will get, more and more wanting. How could it be otherwise?

We can’t stand up and sit down at the same time, we can’t want and have at the same time.
Our mind will deliver to us the exact copy of whatever we hold in our mind. Whatever thought occupies our mind, that is exactly what we will get. Now, you see why you have not gotten the thing you want. You have been holding in mind wanting it. As long as you continue holding in mind wanting it, you will never have it.
