Radiohead is Our Generation’s Gang of Genuises

By: globalbpo1

It’s no surprising news that the band Radiohead is already dubbed as one of the best music acts EVER with the success of every album they released after Pablo Honey. Thom Yorke writes the best lyrics (and has the sexiest crooked eyes), and the band just has a collective sixth sense they call supergenius musician sense. with the success of their recent album In Rainbows, an eclectic mix of electronica, semi-Ok Computer vibe and Hail to the Thief all summed up in a whole new audio phantasmagoria, it’s 100% sure that they pretty much clamp cans together and still make fantastic music. For some time, they let their fans download the album for free, or for just donations they can give to see and make them the worth of music.

What better way to reach out to their fans than to let them remix their next single and earn buttloads of money and critical acclaim while doing it? Radiohead can pull any trick out of their British hampers and it’ll still be innovative and it’ll still inspire a young lad starting out as an artist or a writer.

James Houston, a Radiohead fan, created this amazing video of the song Nude using the sounds produced by old school computer hardware to mimic the song’s melody. Not only is it cool and amusing, it’s also super geeky! Houston is a photographer and a filmmaker that made this video as a project for the contest Big Ideas. He missed the deadline concluding a sorrowful buzz kill but nevertheless, it’s such a winner! It’s probably one of the most artistic and incredible things I have ever seen in my life. If I had seen this video without knowing a melody or a tune out of Radiohead, I’ll probably end up as a fan anyway. The band’s music has inspired such an talented mass of individuals and this is definitely a proof. They should definitely be up in the pedestal where The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Andy Warhol and Dr. Albert Hoffman are positioned in the hierarchy of pop culture.
