The Last Movie Star is Single

It’s time for women all the over the world to rejoice in the news that George Clooney has become, through a sudden twist of fate, single again. That’s right ladies, the “Last Hollywood Movie Star” (as dubbed by Time Magazine) has just broken up with his girlfriend Sarah Larson after a year of dating. In celebrity standards, that’s pretty much a lifetime.

The Oceans Eleven/Tweleve/Thirteen star’s representative Stan Rosenfield refused to comment on his boss’ sudden split saying, “We do not comment on George’s personal life.”

Though the two dated for a year, they have known each other four years prior to their relationship. After winning in the television show Fear Factor, Larson worked as a cocktail server at The Whiskey Bar at fabulous Las Vegas. But it was during their second meeting when the couple officially became a couple in 2007.

Larson was 29, while Clooney was 47 when they first made their public appearance together at the Deauville Film Festival. At 29, it may not be such a bad thing to date someone who’s 47. But it’s just creepy to think that when Clooney was most likely a testosterone driven young lad of 18, Larson was still a little baby.

September was a pretty busy month for the newly announced love birds at the time. Aside from gracing everybody with their presence they also managed to garner people’s sympathy when later that month, the two got into a motorcycle accident.

The short interval between the birth of their romance and the impending disaster was pretty much a metaphor to their short lived relationship (again, that’s based on normal people’s standards). In addition, rumor has it that Clooney and Larson were foreshadowed to split up as early as March this year when Clooney denied any talks about an engagement.
