The installation process of the NomaDesk Virtual Fileserver updated version has been improved to make it easier to download, install and get started. A workspace is automatically installed with the dashboard.

E-mail configuration is no longer required until NomaDesk is up and running. The software installer is now signed with a digital ID from Verisign for secure installation.

Inviting other people to your workspace is easier as the new version allows the integration of MS Outlook, Outlook Express and Google email clients into NomaDesk. An extra 'button' called “Re-invite Pending Guests” has been added to the “manage workspace” tab allowing you to re-invite pending guests from a pop up window.

Browser based and mobile users can now access all NomaDesk desktop functions through the web. Mobile users can now create file links, add and delete workspaces, have their guests invite their friends and view the synchronization status of a workspace.

It is no longer required to re-start Windows when the dashboard is installed. NomaDesk will only install new or changed components and not completely reinstall. This will happen only when new drivers have to be installed.

A comprehensive “getting started” will launch after NomaDesk has been installed. This page can be accessed at any time by selecting “getting started” in the help menu. A faster, friendlier and more stable experience has now been created by fixing several performance bugs.

Addition of all of these features to the existing version will make accessing, sharing, uploading and making changes to your data a far more user-friendly experience.
