The down-turn US market!

By: jooyaoo

I think the sluggish US market will affect China export volume. The small manufacturers and trading companies should develop the other new markets, like South America, Middle-East, African markets. However the buying power of US importers still exist. They would examine your product quality and price more detailed than before. So 2008 will be a tough year for those companies who are selling to the US market.

In other Asian countries, like Philippine, are facing the same problem as China export. Sergio Ortiz-Luis of the Philippine Exporters Federation warned that with the US downturn and even the high cost of power in the Philippines the export industry may have a “zero growth" for 2008.

The diversified trade will save the export industry. Philippines has improved economic ties with India and China, and is not as dependent on the world's largest economy (USA) as it used to be.
