Let’s say that your blogging and content writing ways is about the recent exploits of Rafael Nadal at the 2008 Roland Garros Championships. And most of your blogs is all about tennis and Rafa.

Now if that site has hundreds of backlinks then it’s possible that its page rank is high as well. So what does this means for you and your Rafa blogging? This means that when someone searched for Rafa Nadal, tennis and the Roland Garros, there is a big chance that your post and your site will be shown first on search engines. With that kind of set-up, you’ll get more viewers and patrons.

Perhaps you may be thinking right now that once there are a number of backlinks to your blog posts, then the chances of having a higher page rank is high. And your blog posts chances of landing at the top page of search engines will be high as well. Not quite. Though you score very high on link popularity, this doesn’t guarantee that it at all. In fact someone’s website with just a few backlinks will edge you out. Yes that happens if the backlinks of the site of the other guy is of good quality. Good quality in a sense that his site’s backlinks are from high PR sites.

So when you’re looking to maximize your standing on the web, make sure that that the links that connect to your site are of higher PR. That should start with content writing of good quality or highly researched professional copywriting services wherein other people can get a lot of information. If your case, what you can do is to talk more about tennis and Rafa Nadal and to offer information that is not found on other sites. That way, people will link to your blog posts, backlinks from higher PR sites will follow and in the end you’ll get the audience that you seek and more.
