Word of mouth is important for a business to expand and grow. It can be achieved in so many ways. The bosses of the biz can use many tools such as funky business cards, informal postcards or a custom size brochure.

The idea is to be different. These tools have been around for ages and have been used many times before for marketing reasons. You cannot just follow other’s leads. You can use those tools but change something about them. Relate the changes according to your business and what your company is all about.

The tools can attract customers your way. Do everything to make them stay. With your valued service, you can make them do one more thing. They can refer you to the people they know.

Three Ways to Make People Refer You to Others

1. Good business.
This has to be established. You have to treat your customers’ right. Good business means good service. Fulfill their needs. Treat them accordingly. And they will surely come back to you for more.

Whenever they will need the type of service that you offer, they will not think about any other company but you. Sometimes, what matters to people is the quality of service that they are getting more than anything.

By building a good business relationship with them, they will definitely not hesitate to tell their friends about you. They will recommend you to people they know that might need your type of service.

2. Partnering with other business
This must be done with utmost care. You cannot choose a partner with bad reputation. This will also ruin you. Choose a business partner that shares your goal and commitment in serving your clients.

The business should complement what you offer. It should not be a direct competitor. The latter will only result for your clients to choose between the two of you.

Set up your marketing tools such as a custom size brochure, postcards, catalogs and flyers to contain both your names. People must learn to associate the two of you. They must recommend you to their clients. And you should also do the same for them.

3. Referral program
Set this up to convince your clients to refer you. By making them fill up some forms, you can get valuable contacts from those they referred. To make it more exciting for you and especially for them, you must give out incentives.

Incentives come in many forms. You can give your clients discounts the next time they buy from you. You can give them gifts. You can also give them points for their every referral. Those points can be saved. And the higher the points are, the higher the cost of their prices will be.

Boosting your sales is your main aim for using marketing tools. Make those tools exciting all the time. You can have custom size brochure, custom size postcard and even business card. Use those materials for people to share with others. Aim for your clients to refer you. A good word of mouth will surely be appreciated and will go a very long way.
