One more job of your resume is like a sales person's brochure give them after the interview. Many employment seekers do not think about this all important job of your resume. The resume reminds the interviewer of what you you can do for them, but it goes further than that. Interviewers are often influenced by the caliber of your written presentation.

A resume is a tool for an interviewer who wants to justify a hiring decision or needs to convince someone else. Bringing in a new person is a significant decision.

After seeing your resume, some people have the power rubber stamp or stop your hiring. Since they have never met you, they will be careful. Employers hate to make mistakes when hiring new workers.

The interviewer may consider you the best and want to hire you on the spot. But they might still need to convince their boss. A well written resume is the best sales tool you could give them.
